How to shape an eyebrow!

When shaping an eyebrow using a tweezer there are 3 easy steps to follow to makeup sure the angle and size of your eyebrow ends up perfect for you!

A) Place a pencil next to the nose wing, let it cross through the INNER eye corner and mark the spot when it crosses the eyebrow. This is where the eyebrow should START.

B) Place the pencil next to the nose wing again, this time letting it cross on the outside of the IRIS and mark the spot when it crosses the eyebrow. This is where the eyebrow should be ARCHED.

C) Lastly, place the pencil next to the nose wing and let it cross the OUTER eye corner and mark the spot when it crosses the eyebrow. This is where the eyebrow should END.

Tips! The brow between A and B should be about the width of a pencil.

The reason why these 3 steps makes the perfect eyebrow for ANY one is because it is based around the measurement of the individual eye, nose and eye brow. You simply can't go wrong!

Change your hair for the week!

My hair grows stupidly quick, so I have never been too afraid of changing my cut nor my color. Even if I didn't start dying my hair until I was 19 (!) due to an amazing respect of my parents seldom restrictions ("except for hair color, tattoo, piercings and smoking- you do as you please my child!) Long story short, going from black to white in way too little time, made my last dye experience the very last. I was done with chewing gum texture, and the red roots that needed a refilling every 2 weeks if I didn't want to look bald with my black hair. I decided to reclaim my shunned red hair and let it grow back after 6 years of exile. The only problem was that my ends were white-yellowish and my roots were red- it really wasn't happening.

Then, Davines came into my life (-yes, I am hearing angels sigh as I say this).

Davines Alchemic Golden Shampoo & Conditioner Duo

The organic, treatment + coloration series 'Alchemic System' in the cute vintage style apothecary jars and bottles were here to both save my sticky hair and to give me the color I had always wanted, but not quite gotten at the expensive hair salons: The Caramel! And not just some lighter version of brown, no no, this caramel had hints of peach and pink without giving it all away and it was amazing. When I threw some GHD waves in there my hair was like a caramel candy slide. My hair has now pretty much grown out to my natural red, which I am very much in love with (please understand, It's not myself I'm in love with. I do separate self and hair) and to get a little more vibration I simply use my L’Oreal Professionnel Expert Gloss Color Mahogany Shampoo

So what's my message?

For all of you out there longing for a fresh summer color for your hair, but not eager to dye it, simply wash you hair with the Davines Alchemic System series with its 6 different tones. You can chose the color that is meant to add to your own color, or if your blond do as me- cheat and change it up with the caramel or the pink tone! It washes out anyway, and your hair gets so silky soft.

Tove

What I want to wear for summe....

Summer is coming and oh how I long to stroll down the beach, dip my toes in the ocean and relax with my man´s best mojito! Oh-wait, I do live on the beach already! But enough of that, one sure thing when it comes to most girls and summer is that we go a little nuts with color and crazy fads of the summer. It´s fun, it´s fine but it won´t really last. So I give you my sure thing picks (also refered to as the classics...) that can be worned on the beach, country side, chasing pavements and club hunting.

A BIG BUT NOT TOO BIG BEACH HAT

 To hide under,
         to umpfh up any outfit
      and of course
to protect my face from those nasty but oh so tempting sun rays

THE PERFECT MAXI DRESS

FULL TILT Smock Tube Maxi Dress

Yes, yes, yes....every summer is a maxi dress summer, but what shocks me every year is how many UGLY maxi dresses there are. Always the wrong fit, but gorgeous colors or horrible print with a deasent cut. What is a girl to do? GO SAFE but interesting with a tube cut black maxi and texturize it with knotted belt.

the Color

70´s Camel

michael kors

Surely by now most of us have gotten the whiff of the fact that there are some Camels coming in to town this fall. They come in many shapes and serve several purposes, yet mostly we will see them on our wide leg trousers and over our shoulders in the shape of a coat or a cape. Why does this trend work so fittingly right now? Well, there will always be several reasons for why a trend hits home, but this one in particular couldn´t have a better timing:

1.

We´re still donning the nude-look of last spring, and all though most of us enjoyed that photo-flattering trend, it just wasn´t really feasible for the "coming out of winter pale skinned and fatigued"-rest of us. But the camel will help shine a little bronze into our life, and let the little color we got over summer last just a little but longer

Gucci
2.

You would think it´s all about the 50´s this fall because of the rants the big mags´ are giving it because several designers showed it. But even though I know the Mad Men series was a big hit, I don´t see it sticking in real life. The lighthearted somewhat hippie and bohemianish 70s vibe is simply a lot easier to dress up in. Now, I love the 50s and the makeup in particular, but it does tend to get a bit too thematic.

3.

Black is indeed the color of fashion, and an easier color to wear for fall and winter, but sometime we want a little warmth and sunshine into our hibernating lives, and once again, Camel does just that.

4.

Some of the biggest detail trends of the season are leaning toward the coat, the frock, the cape and the wide leg trousers. The classic way of pulling these items of is either in black or in our star of the moment; the Camel.

So there you go, 4 reasons other than "I like Camel so you must wear it- regards from your fashion magazine x and y". And because I´m feeling extra cheerful today, I´ll throw in some favorite pics´ as well so you can ohh and ahh over the items most of us (especially me) can never afford. Hehe...did I mention it´s Friday today?
